Plus if your story or fundraiser goes "viral" it can attract media to your story which even furthers your ability to fund raise.
Also with all of the different types of online fundraising sites now it almost makes it too easy to find the right people to help your issue or cause. The Internet is truly great for raising awareness of issues.
